Hawk

From an early age, Hawk loved cats, flowers, and loud music, but as his severe asthma worsened it became difficult to be around pets, pollen, and other triggers. As he got older, fear of an attack would keep him from doing the things he loved, like practicing with his band, The Mere Cats.

After starting on TEZSPIRE and breathing better, you can see him performing for screaming crowds or visiting his favorite cat café the next town over. But whatever he’s up to, rest assured: Hawk is getting back to being Hawk.

Mel

Mel grew up in Texas with a love of the outdoors. She’s always had a big personality and even bigger ambitions, but with adult-onset asthma, she found herself bowing out of family outings and spending more time indoors for fear of environmental triggers. Mel was not accustomed to holding back.

Fast-forward to the present day. Mel is taking TEZSPIRE, having fewer attacks and breathing better. She’s taking back her title as queen of the outdoors. She’s honing her skills and her garden is flourishing, but spending time outdoors with her family again is the biggest win of all.

Kai

Originally from Samoa, Kai moved to the US to pursue his passion for sculpture. Living in a colder climate and working with ice and wood made managing his asthma challenging. He didn’t want to give up on his dream, but knew he’d have to move back home if things didn’t change.

Since breathing better and having fewer attacks after adding TEZSPIRE, Kai helped his buddy open a shaved ice stand in town, started livestreaming his ice sculptures daily, and is probably the first person in his family to attempt a snow angel.

Amaia

Amaia has always loved dogs. The bigger the better. But ever since her childhood golden retriever started making her wheeze and struggle to breath, she’s had to distance herself from dogs to help manage her asthma. This left a void in her life that wasn’t easily filled.

Adding TEZSPIRE to her asthma management plan has helped Amaia gain control of her asthma with fewer attacks and better breathing. She’s reconnecting with her love of dogs again, turning her passion into a dog walking business.

Hana Asthma specialist

Growing up, Hana’s mom suffered from severe asthma. Today Hana is an asthma specialist who loves helping patients just like her mom. She believes that her patients should know all about their condition, ways to treat it, and how to get treatment. She wants all of her patients to feel heard and to know that she will do whatever it takes to make sure they get access to the care they deserve.

Fun fact:

Growing up, Hana used to pretend to be a doctor by checking her friends’ throats with popsicle sticks.
